Fred, Debbie and I went to try her out. The lady couldnt find the bridle so I rode her with just the halter. She didnt do too bad. She does like to be near the other horses who were in the barn but she did listen to me. I am hoping to go back again this weekend and try her in a cart to see how she goes, she is supposed to drive so we shall see....
Deb and Fred were sitting in the truck waiting for me while i got some phone numbers, while they were waiting all of a sudden my windows went down on the driver side and the passenger side. We were able to get the driver side one back up but the passenger side kept going down after i would put it up. Have to take it to the shop on monday for them to fix it... more expenses... poor Debbie had to ride home in the rain with the window down... she didnt get too wet..:)

This is Sara Jill, a lot of white to keep clean, she did okay for just riding her in a halter and lead ropes

Okay, enough of the heat already!!! I really dont tolerate it well at all, thot I was going to have to leave work early today because of not feeling well due to heat humidity and being my 7th straight day of work, I now have 4 days off!!! YAHOO!
Tomorrow morning we are going to look at a spotted draft horse, basically a draft that looks likea paint horse . You'll never guess what the horses name is ,they call her Sara J. Her registered name is Sara Jill. My middle initial is J. how weird is that? AND... the lady that owns her, her name is Polly Johnson and we used to have a lady in my church by that name and she always called me Sara Jo....hmmmmm.... interesting. ... will let ya know more about the horse after tomorrow.... Turn on the AC

I had a customer drive up today and his dog was looking out the back window, so I sort of spoke to the dog and the driver says he is looking for a doggy biscuit, I said " I dont feed other peoples dogs, sorry. So the driver said to the dog, "go ahead and bite her" . Can you believe that? What a nice guy. You just never know who you will encounter when someone pulls up to the booth.
Rainy day here, but i love the temperature!!

hot weather

How hot is it??? IT was so hot that my bottle of water at work that started out with 10 ice cubes melted in 18 minutes while in my booth!!! I had a couple pull up and as usual I always speak, and they said I was the first one in a tollbooth to speak to them since before coming thru New York. How sad is that, that the people working with the public who make our paycheck cant take the time to at least say hi or thank you... makes you wonder why they would take such a job... It has been busy this weekend and HOT! Thank goodness Fall will soon be here I hope.

We saw some of the fireworks in Dover NH last night. This morning Linda and I took Bud out for a drive. First time I have driven him off the property, we went across the road thru the school yard and up Lebanon road a ways then out a dirt road for a ways and then turned around and came back. I dont know who was more nervous, me, Linda or Bud. We made it fine. There were some cows in a pasture which Bud became a little antsy about especially when one cow decided to trot down the fence line watching us. Then there was a big canoe on someones lawn that Bud thot was a monster.... but all in all things went well, we had motorcycles, cars, trucks towing a trailer, a bicycle go by us some at slow speed some moving right along but Bud handled it all well. We had a good time. Then we worked in the woodshop, cooked out on the grill, went to Dairy Queen for Lindas favorite Blizzard, now back home, Linda is back in woodshop trying to finish up a project before she leaves..... Her Dad may have to buy her a scroll saw for Christmas maybe.... she really enjoys making stuff. Only 2 days left....... :(

The sun actually came out today!!!! Yahoo. A friend came over with her 3 year old daughter , gave them a ride together on Bud, but he wasnt very good today, he was very spooky, looking at everything that might be a monster after him....oh well, nobody got hurt, cooked hamburgers on the grill. Linda and I did some Wii fit exercises....lazy afternoon, hopefully going to see some fireworks tonight, if not Sunday night there will be some in Portsmouth NH. I am off from work until 3pm on thursday....lovin it. I cant believe the time is almost here for Linda to go home, this past year has gone by so fast, I will certainly miss having her here and sharing laughs with her. We have had a good 10 months together as a family.
