My truck is due for inspection this month, so I had to go out and buy 6 new tires --my wallet took a beating-- went to the garage today to see if it would pass, NOT!.... I have a broken lens cover on my fog light and also a broken shock in the front, so....... in order to pass inspection I need to get these fixed. Thank goodness for holiday pay! The truck is almost 8 years old with 125 thousand miles, I am hoping it will last me for a few more years being a diesel engine I should get at least another 100 thousand on it, at least I can always hope. I am getting much better traction in the snow with my new tires so that is good.
I am working the overnight shift at work , got about 3 hours of sleep this afternoon before coming in tonight at 10, by 7am i will be tired. Fred and Linda will most likely go out for breakfast, but i think i will stay home and try to sleep. We will see what morning brings. Drinking my Mt. Dew will help me stay awake anyways. Have a great day!

Well, Lindas first semester is over, she got A's and B's! She has done an excellent job in school. This new semester she will be taking guitar class and a sculpture class. I hope she will like them. There is another big storm coming tomorrow, supposedly another 10 - 15 inches of snow. There probably wont be any school if the storm starts early. I have to be at work at 8am so i am hoping the storm doesnt start until I get to work, then it can snow all it wants. Have a great day!!

WAHOO! YAHOO! YEEHAW! Lindas basketball team actually won their first game today against York. It was an excellent game! Very well matched teams. It actually went into overtime. Noble won 37 to 36-----BEST of ALL--- LINDA SCORED A BASKET!!!!!!!! First time she has scored! I was doing so much screaming my throat hurts!! Awesome game! and of course I didnt bring my camera cause i was thinking that there is only so many pictures i can take of her playing the same game all season. Oh well, you will just have to imagine it. Beautiful sunny windy day here.

well, we ended up with at least 10-12 inches of snow, not too much traffic on the road but still many cars going off into the snowbanks. People just dont slow down for the traveling conditions. It is a beautiful sunny day today, snow is gorgeous, soft and powdery(is that a word?). Oh well, have a great day.

On wednesday just when i was getting ready to leave for work Fred called me and said he had been in an accident. He was not hurt at all!!! Two 17 year old girls driving a jeep cherokee pulled out of a side street and went right into him pushing him into the next lane that could have been oncoming traffic but at that time there was noone. Freds sister just happened to be going by on her way home and recognized Fred because of his "original" hat. Thankfully she was able to give him a ride home. Thankfully all the damage was on the passenger side and no one was riding with him. As you can see in the pictures it pretty much destroyed the whole side of his truck and knocked the rear end out and the drive shaft is on the ground. God was certainly watching over him that day, everyday for that matter.
This new year is not starting out so good, but their is always a silver lining somewhere.
Today i stayed home with a mind splitting, room spinning, migraine......hmmm. think it could be stress??? We all went out for dessert tonight, had a good time together. Now i am ready for bed. As much as I dislike the heat in the summer, I am ready for a little warmer weather than what we had this morning. It was 19 below 0!!!! Brrrr.

I was chatting about Ginger today with a friend whose little girl loves ginger. I was saying how many people I have had on Ginger, so later tonight I sat down and tried to list all the people that have had a ride on her, I came up with 75 names, I'm sure I probably missed a few in the almost 10 years that I have owned her. She is the best, I wouldnt trade her for a million dollars. She is my psychologist(therapist) for me and others. God created a good horse when He created her. I am very blessed.

beautiful blue winter sky, Ginger looking for lunch, Buds lips, Gingers nose(head), the horses like to check out camera so thot i would have some fun

Linda with American chocolate in her hands????,NY Stock Exchange building, view of city from Ellis Island, Linda being creative with the camera

Below are some pictures from Lindas New York trip in December. She was fortunate she had good weather. Horse carriage rides thru Central Park, Trump Tower, Christmas tree in Rockefeller Center and the M& M store.

Spring is in the air???NOT!!! took this photo while waiting for fred to bring another bucket of wood for us to stack in cellar last week

Wow, finally found the energy to get to computer, typing without my glasses so excuse any typos. I havent felt good since last wednesday night. Finally left work friday night and went to the emergency room and got checked out. I have a urinary tract infection, somehow that makes my body ache and have a fever and feel just down right miserable. They thot it was the flu at first so some male nurse came in and stuck a long q-tip type thing all the way up my nose on both sides. How that can tell you if i have the flu or not is beyond me. So I am on medication to get rid of the infection and hopefully the fever. Tired of feeling cold(sitting in recliner with quilt over me) while temp in living room is above 80 from the woodstove. I am just now beginning to feel like a human again. I HATE being sick. Okay, enough about that. Today we are getting a snowstorm looks like there is at least 3 inches on the ground and it is still coming down pretty good.
Linda has been playing in the woodshop with Fred and really enjoying herself. Mom and Dad(hers) may have to buy her a scrollsaw when she gets back home or a lathe.
Okay gotta go in the shower, have a great day!!!!

Snowing here today, along with sleet, just messy. Linda has no school today so she spent some time calling home and her neighbor. She was doing a lot of laughing so I guess she is happy. Left the horses in today, they are not going to be happy, but it is pretty nasty out there.
Have to go get ready for work, should be fun travelling in this stuff. Had to replace one of my windshield wipers this morning, good thing we bought some the other night at Wal-mart. Have a great day!
